Assessment Tool Explanation
Assessment Tool Explanation
1.) Multiple Intelligence and Meyer's Briggs:
* This tests that sees the students Multiple Intelligence and see what they are as a person. This tool will help the teacher see how well would a student learn. Either visual learning or nature learning. I would rate this tool a perfect 5! I rate this a 5 because this helps me see what my students strength and weaknesses are. Further more I would see their character as a person!
2.) Performance Task:
* Here on students performance task, explain on what students would do. Each performance task are different depending on the subject and the topic. This tool is really effective because it will let the students know what is expected of them to do and also the teacher. I would rate this tool a 5!
3.) Checklist, Learning Logs, Journal Logs are 3 different types of assessments
* It is used for different types of activities. A checklist is basically you observing students of their understanding of what lesson is. Learning logs and journals on the other hand contains reflection how well the students learn, what they like or dislike, and what they retained about the topic. I would rate this a 3. Yes it is good to have a journal or a log, but sometimes it is time consuming and students might will get bored quick and by the end, they will not know what to write about anymore.
4.) Matrix and rubrics
* Are used to grade activities. By using this, it goes by a scale from 1-4. As 1 being the lowest and 4 being the highest. When we really break it down, 1 is beginning, 2 developing, 3 proficient and 4 being advance. We teacher use rubrics form classwork, test, quizzes, and many more fun activities the students enjoy. I rate this tool a 5! Because I am using this tool right now and it is helping me out on grading and if the student really learned something.
5.) Graphic Organizers
* Are use to help students with different topics. Such as vocabulary, character maps, etc... as you can see, graphic organizers can help students more on learning when they use this type of tool. Furthermore, graphic organizer are really easy to make. Only because you can modify this type of tool to your liking! I promise you that it will enhance students learning. I would really rate this type of tool a 5! For its features and focus on learning really hits the students needs of learning.
6.) Interviews and conference
* Are use to talk with students and or parents. Students because we need to know our students and how they are. When parents are involved, it will be a conference. Using interviews, we as teachers would want to know our students background and how they are as a person. Only because we don't want to offend any of our students. I would rate this tool as 4. This tool can also be an extension of what the topic is by interviewing people. Great tool to have in class.
7.) Teacher Made Test & CNMI S&B Test
* Teacher made test are usually aligned with the CNMI S&B. Teachers would always look at the standards and benchmark as a guideline to know what the student should know by the end of their lesson. When they know what the students should know, that is when they can create their teacher made test aligning it with the CNMI S&B. I would rate this tool a 5! Only because the CNMI S&B act as a guide to help us create the Teacher Made Test.
